    Aster Aguilar

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT

    Aster (she/her) is a research assistant for both the Just4Us and Whole Selves projects. She just graduated from Yale with a BA in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. In recognition for her advocacy for the trans community throughout college, she received the GALA Camila María Concepción ‘14 Prize. She also worked in student affairs as the Head First Year Counselor for Silliman College and as a student assistant with the Yale LGBTQ Center. In her spare time, you can find her angrily typing up a Letterboxd review, crying to sad girl indie music, or thrifting more sweaters to keep under her bed.

    Even Paglisotti, MPH

    COLLABORATOR

    PhD Student, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

    Even (they/them) is a PhD student in Population Health Sciences at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Their research interests include quantitative methods for assessing impacts of intersecting systemic oppressions on the health of minoritized sexual and gender minorities. They are also interested in protective factors for sexual and gender minority youth’s mental health and well-being. Even received their MPH in Epidemiology and BA in Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh.

    Gabe Murchison, PhD, MPH

    PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

    Assistant Professor, Boston University School of Public Health

    Gabe (she/he/they) is a social and psychiatric epidemiologist who works on research with young LGBTQ+ people, focusing on supportive relationships, interpersonal violence, and social marginalization in relation to mental health and substance use. She identifies as transmasculine and gender fluid and has been active in trans/nonbinary communities for more than 15 years. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking and camping (often in New Hampshire’s beautiful White Mountains), rock climbing (but only indoors), and running (but only slowly).

  • Grayson Vives

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT

    Undergraduate Student, Yale College

    Grayson (he/him) is an undergrad at Yale majoring in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. He is a trans athlete on Yale’s Varsity Softball team. He is interested in how the brain affects our behavior and the neuroscience behind various psychological conditions. He cares about how critical thinking about gender and sexuality can lead to empathy and meaningful connections. In his free time, he likes being outside, thrifting, drinking kombucha, and reading graphic novels.

    Mikey Daley

    PRACTICUM STUDENT

    Undergraduate Student, Binghamton University

    Mikey (he/him) is a current college freshman attending Binghamton University, where he is majoring in chemistry. His research interests include different types of relationships, particularly platonic relationships, and their impact on transgender people's mental health. He enjoys playing bass guitar, going to concerts, and playing with his cat Oreo in his free time.

    Stephan Oliviera

    RESEARCH ASSISTANT

    Doctoral Student, Illinois School of Professional Psychology

    Stephan (he/him) is a recent Yale alum and current doctoral student at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology to become a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma and the misdiagnosis of psychosis. His academic and clinical interests are grounded in the perspectives of madness studies/anticolonial psychiatry, Indigenous studies, and transgender studies. As a researcher, he looks forward to continuing to contribute to the field of knowledge on gender-diverse subjects.
